Hackfall Woods, North Yorkshire
This woods was first created around 1765 by William Aislabie in a large gauge, and today is looked after by the Woodland Trust, and the Hackfall Trust.
The woods can be found just outside of Masham (North Yorkshire), and is free to visit. Be mindful to take good footwear with you, as there is a steep decline down to the start where you are greeted with a tranquil pool surrounded by woods.
I visit this place regularly, and never tire of it.
